Who is behind Rowbase

I am Martin, an independent developer. I build and maintain a handful of SaaS products under the Kadiaak name, and Rowbase is one of them.

That matters for one reason: when something breaks, you are not writing to a support queue. You are writing to the person who wrote the code.

The company behind it is Kadiaak OÜ, registered in Estonia under number 16357744, at Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju Maakond. VAT EE102437021. The same details are at the bottom of every page.

Why Rowbase exists

It started with a real client. They were paying for Airtable, seat after seat, to keep what were in the end fairly plain business lists: orders, customers, jobs. They used almost none of what they were paying for, and the bill went up every time somebody joined.

What they actually needed was a grid that types its columns, a few people able to edit it without overwriting each other, and their Google Sheet kept up to date so the accountant could keep doing the maths. That is the whole product.

What I decided early, and have not changed

• A grid you understand in a minute. If it needs training, it is the wrong tool for a list of orders.
• A continuous export to Google Sheets, one way. Your formulas and pivot tables stay where they are, working on data that arrives on its own.
• One published price per seat, with viewers free. No quote, no tier that unlocks the feature you needed all along.
• Hosting in the European Union, because that is where the people using it are.

How it is built

Rowbase is developed and actively maintained. Shipping happens in small steps, and what is not built yet is said plainly rather than promised in a comparison table.

Your data is hosted in the European Union. It is not sold, not passed to advertisers, and not used to train anything. You pay for seats, which is the only way the product makes money, and that keeps the incentive straightforward.
