Frequently asked questions
Where is my data hosted?
On servers located in the European Union, with a European host. No customer data is transferred outside the EU, except the copy you choose to send to your own Google Sheet.
What happens if I go over the row limit?
Nothing breaks overnight. At 90% of the limit you get an email; beyond that you can keep reading and editing your data, and we agree together on a higher tier.
Can Rowbase read what I change in Google Sheets?
No, and we say so from the top of this page: Rowbase writes into your sheet, it never reads back from it. Rows added or edited in Rowbase land there within seconds; whatever you type in the sheet itself stays in the sheet. That is what keeps your formulas and your charts safe from a merge you never asked for. Two-way sync is on the roadmap.
Can I import from Airtable or a CSV?
Yes. Drop in a CSV export from Airtable, Excel or Sheets: Rowbase detects the field types and lets you correct them before importing. Attachments and formulas are not carried over.
How does per-seat billing work?
A seat is one person who edits data (administrator or editor). Viewers are free and unlimited. You are billed monthly, pro-rated on the seats actually in use, so someone leaving mid-month is deducted automatically.
